Devhd accelerates the digitalization of companies in the automotive industry and saves over 25,000 work hours by automating IT processes
Devhd, the first company in Romania specialized on the ServiceNow platform, has completed a major digital transformation project for a global client in the automotive industry, a field with complex processes and strict governance requirements. The company thus demonstrates how integrated IT process automation can generate operational efficiency, traceability and compliance in large and very large organizations.
Over 25,000 hours saved by automating IT processes in the automotive industry
Part of a longer process of digitizing an automotive corporation with over 60,000 employees globally, the project initially aimed to implement an Employee Center solution that helps employees resolve a large part of the IT incidents themselves that would otherwise have been reported to technical teams.
Following the implementation of the Employee Center, employees benefit from guided procedures and relevant results with which they can resolve potential problems, without having to issue a ticket. The transition to this self-service model also has a major advantage: the portal functions as a centralized catalog of IT services that:
• Automates user requests, ensuring their structured submission and tracking.
• Manages approval flows more efficiently, and managers can quickly review and authorize requests.
• Simplifies the management of complex requests at team level, through multiple approval functions.
By consolidating IT services into a single interface, the organization streamlined internal flows, reducing manual intervention and improving overall service efficiency.
In the second phase, Devhd moved on to implementing Automated Governance Request (AGR) – a module that allowed for fully automated management of ServiceNow platform access requests, approvals and internal audits across multiple enterprise systems.
The AGR solution, developed together with the client, automated the processing of over 50,000 requests annually, thus saving over 25,000 hours of manual work and significantly reducing repetitive interventions by IT teams.
At the European level, these projects align with a strong trend of accelerating digitalization. According to the Eurostat 2024 Report – Digitalisation in Europe, 74% of companies in the European Union have reached a basic level of digital intensity, but only 8% use artificial intelligence technologies; only a third of SMEs are running coherent digital transformation programs.
These data confirm the need for a strategic approach and specialized partnerships to translate digitalization into concrete business results.
