Transylvania College, the first school in Romania to integrate Mirro into the educational process

In a context where education in Romania needs serious transformations to meet the needs of new generations and align with international standards, Transylvania College is positioning Romania on the global map of British School Overseas (BSO) accredited schools.
The institution has integrated the Romanian platform Mirro, to modernize its performance management process and thus sets a standard for best practices in international educational systems.
“The integration of a technological platform by an educational institution is a clear sign that the digitalization of education is starting to take shape in Romania as well. When performance is tracked with transparency and clarity, the school becomes a healthy development environment, in which teachers are involved, and the progress of students is concretely reflected in their academic results.” Simona Lăpușan, CEO & Founder Mirro.
With only 3.3% of GDP allocated to education, Romania ranks 123rd out of 171 countries, according to the 2024 UNESCO report – a position that reflects the harsh reality of an underfunded and outdated education system.

British School Overseas’ accreditation, aligned with international requirements, was obtained following a rigorous four-day inspection carried out by Penta International, a body recognised by the UK Department for Education. The inspectors highlighted exceptional leadership, attention to the well-being of students and teachers, as well as a commitment to continuous professional development, aspects supported by the strategic integration of the Mirro platform.
Through this, Transylvania College centralised all lesson observations in a single system, over several years, generating valuable information that contributed to the improvement of the teaching act. Thus, the school was able to present concrete evidence of its organisational culture, through data extracted in real time from Mirro.
“Step by step, we are developing a scalable model that strengthens our own practices and can inspire other schools in Romania,” said Catrinel Grigorovici, Head of Community Affairs at Transylvania College.
Mirro, the platform created by Zitec, is used globally by companies such as McDonald’s, eMAG, Hochland. and ProCredit Bank. In education, Mirro is becoming an essential digital infrastructure for schools that want to measure their culture with real data.
