Commons Accel is opening the doors to a new generation of entrepreneurs
The KickOff event takes place on September 28
The Institute of Excellence in Entrepreneurship (IdEA) has opened registrations for cohort #9 at Commons Accel, one of the strongest accelerators in Romania, through which a number of 300 startups have passed so far, of which over 30 entrepreneurs have raised over 45 million euros.
The Commons Accel team is intensively preparing to open its doors to a new generation of entrepreneurs, during the launch event on September 28, at 18:00, which will take place at the Commons Accel headquarters in Halelor street no. 5, Bucharest (Piața Unirii area, next to Manuc’s Inn). With a modern approach, Commons Accel focuses especially on business development, covering essential business topics such as marketing, sales growth, financial planning and investments.
Admission criteria are centered on the potential of each business, regardless of industry or stage of development, given that the design of the accelerator has been meticulously crafted to accommodate the needs of a diverse group of entrepreneurs. The program offers hybrid options, with online participants having the possibility of audio-video interaction with the speakers and the rest of the participants, during the entire program. IdEA offers the new generation of entrepreneurs an authentic program, adapted to the unique, specific needs of each startup.
All sessions are held exclusively in Romanian, and the direct interaction between participants, mentors, investors and the IdEA team will take place face to face, in the new session announced to start on September 28 Registrations will close on September 25 at 12pm, and the number of places is limited to 25.
Those who will be accepted into the program will benefit from rigorous training during three modules, which include group and individual activities, workshops, presentations and work sessions with over 100 mentors and experts. Participants also have the opportunity to build valuable connections through exclusive networking and attract funding from numerous investors.
Most of the investors and investment funds active in Romania such as Gapminder, RocaX, Fortech Investments, Smart Impact Capital, SeedBlink, Cleverage, Techangels or Growceanu are involved as official partners in this program, as well as the international funds Fil Rouge Capital and Startup Wise Guys . They have invested in over 30 Commons Accel startups so far.

About Commons Accel
The program was founded in 2019 by Matei Dumitrescu, vice president of Techangels, investor of the year in 2018 at the Central European Startup Awards, partner in the RocaX investment fund and expert in startup acceleration with over 10 years of international experience together with a dedicated team of entrepreneurs, mentors, experts and investors. The general objective of the program is to support the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Romania, offering young entrepreneurs, regardless of their field of activity, know-how, resources, services and training in order to develop their business execution capacity, as well as financing from Business investors Angels or investment funds. The program benefits from the support of 120 mentors and a team dedicated to preparing early stage businesses to obtain the necessary funding for scaling. During the 4 years of activity, funds of 45 million euros were raised through Commons Accel.
