ANIS launches TechTalent Growth program, free technology courses held nationwide, with European funding
ANIS, the Employers’ Association of Software and Services Industry, launches TechTalent Growth, a European-funded project that offers free technology courses to increase the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of employees in small and medium-sized IT&C companies.
Co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the Human Capital Operational Program, TechTalent Growth (POCU / 464/3/12/128239) takes place in the period 2020-2021. To be eligible, companies must operate in the IT&C sector, in the counties of Argeș, Bihor, Brașov, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Galați, Iași, Mureș, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, to generate a turnover of less than 50 million euros per year and not to have more than 250 employees.
“Despite the challenges that have changed our usual way of doing things in our daily lives, education and training continue and must remain long-term goals for each of us. The TechTalent Growth program is a way to support this goal in small and medium IT companies, making it easier for employees to develop professionally, to acquire new skills, all without financial effort. We propose that through this project, together with the other ANIS initiatives, we contribute to the formation of a Romanian technology industry as strong and efficient as possible at European level “, said Gabriela Mechea, ANIS Executive Director.
Therefore, through this project, ANIS complements the direction of supporting SMEs in the tech field, respectively increasing the competitiveness and long-term innovation capacity within these companies.
The companies will have access to five types of courses, namely DevOps, Java Programming, Databases, Web design, all at advanced level, and a Data Protection Officer Training Course, all ANC certified, which will take place between September 2020 – June 2021. The duration of each course is five days, respectively 40 hours, and the average size of a group will be 10 people. In order to maintain the required safety conditions, both the courses and the final exam will be supported through a dedicated eLearning platform, which allows the interaction between students and trainers. Participation in the courses is free, all costs involved being provided by the Human Capital Operational Program.
