Romania below global automation average with 15 industrial robots per 10,000 workers
The development potential of projects with industrial robots is high in Romania, where there are now 15 industrial robots per 10,000 workers, below the level recorded in Poland and Hungary, according to data of the International Robotics Federation quoted by the designer of multi-technical solutions IMSAT Groupe SNEF.
In this context, the Group announces the development of the robotic integration systems and becomes single official partner of Kawasaki Robotics in Romania, one of the biggest industrial robot manufacturers in the world. The robotics lab IMSAT RobotLAB, a 500,000 euro investments made in Bucharest, is used by the company to stimulate robotized solutions and systems and customers can see in real time how the project advances.
“The Covid 19 crisis set up the context of an automation increase throughout Europe, Romania included. The main arguments for automation start from company needs to protect their employees , that they should be less vulnerable, and is based on the European tendency to consolidate durable through local production facilities. An important objective will therefore be to answer growing demand in the following months,” said Alexandru Cuza, development director at IMSAT Groupe SNEF and coordinator of IMSAT Robotics.
Through the partnership with Kawasaki Robotics, IMSAT Groupe SNEF takes over this producer’s competence for the local market, offering all services: integration of Kawasaki robots, maintenance services, spare parts and training. Moreover, the company can implement projects with industrial robots in foreign markets.
At present, company officials are carrying out talks with several foreign customers about potential projects with industrial robots in Austria, Germany and Bulgaria, in different industries such as pharma, siderurgy or FMCG.
Data of the International Federation for Robotics show that in Romania there are now 15 industrial robots per 10,000 workers, below the level of Poland and Hungary. At the same time the world average is 74 robots per 10,000 employees.
IMSAT Groupe SNEF designs, develops and integrates multi technical solutions for the most complex applications. The company has over 1,100 specialists, with experience in projects implemented in Romania and in over 35 countries on four continents.
