Bucharest becomes the living map of coworking
The Night of Coworking Spaces, an event organized by BEYOND SPACE and ROFMA – Romanian Association of Workplace and Facility Management, invites the general public and the professional community to discover, on the evening of June 10, 2026, the coworking spaces in the city: not as simple alternative offices, but as places where communities, ideas, collaborations and new ways of working are built.

The evolution of the market confirms the growing interest in coworking spaces. According to data from Beyond Space and Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, the stock of coworking spaces in Bucharest is estimated at approximately 80,000 sqm, representing about 2% of the local office market. Although the level is close to the European average, the population density remains below that of other capitals in the region, which indicates an important development potential for the local market.
The coworking market has significant growth potential. Consultants estimate that the segment could expand 3-4 times in the coming years, amid the widespread adoption of hybrid work models and the need for companies to benefit from more operational flexibility. The trend is also supported internationally, where the flexible space market is estimated to grow from $22 billion in 2024 to $82 billion by 2034.
The event also has an important professional component. The Night of Coworking Spaces proposes coworking as a relevant business infrastructure for the workplace, real estate and related services market. Flexible spaces are no longer just a solution for freelancers or startups, but have become part of companies’ strategies for hybrid work, temporary projects, rapid expansions, local hubs, retention, employee experience and optimization of real estate portfolios.
What does Coworking Spaces Night 2026 include?
The participating spaces will open their doors simultaneously, each with its own identity, its own program and its own community. Participants will be able to freely choose what resonates with them: tours of spaces, workshops, networking sessions, wellbeing moments, startup pitches, discussions about the city, the community and the future of work. There is no mandatory route. There is only curiosity, encounters and experiences that can be discovered at everyone’s pace.
In this context, the Coworking Spaces Night is also organized, an event that addresses both the public eager to experience the future of offices, and the professionals who influence the way workspaces are designed, operated and used: workplace managers, corporate real estate managers, facility managers, property managers, HR specialists, architects, interior designers, developers, investors, real estate consultants, coworking operators, workplace
solution providers and community managers. For them, the evening becomes an urban laboratory where flexible solutions can be directly observed, discussed, compared and connected to the real needs of organizations.
The event opens at 16:00 at Spaces Unirii with the launch of the work “Coworking for companies. Practical guide for choosing the most suitable flexible workspace” by Tudor Popp, Managing Partner Beyond Space in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, one of the most important real estate consulting companies in Romania. Starting at 17:00, departing from Spaces Unirii, the Cushman & Wakefield Echinox team organizes a B2B tour of coworking spaces dedicated to professionals working in all related workplace management fields. At the end of the evening, the participants will gather at The Brewprint for a common celebration: a moment of encounter between all the stories, spaces and communities discovered along the way.
