Neurony: We aim to double our team to 200 employees in a global market where the volume of software development is growing significantly
- The IT sector in 2026: a market with very high software development volume, but also lower prices due to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence
- 25% growth in Q1 2026
- 86% of Neurony’s revenue comes from international clients
- Main challenges: accelerated commoditization of software development services and declines in certain Western European markets
The management of Neurony, a Romanian software development and AI integration company known for launching local startups ialoc, Yarooms, and Jobful, aims to grow its team from 112 to 200 employees by the end of this year. This growth could be driven by increasing client interest in outsourcing services, corporate training programs for using Artificial Intelligence in business, and the recent launch of Recrutopia, a recruitment service that combines artificial intelligence with human expertise.
Neurony was founded in 2017 by entrepreneur Emil Muthu and specializes in developing complex web applications and AI solutions. Emil Muthu entered the tech entrepreneurship field in 2003. Neurony has a portfolio of over 800 projects globally, with 86% of its revenue generated from clients outside Romania. The company is known for its technological innovations, including platforms such as Yarooms – a workplace management solution for hybrid work; ialoc – an online reservation platform for restaurants; and Jobful – a gamified talent recruitment platform. All three platforms have attracted investment from GapMinder, one of the most prominent investment funds on the local market.
Q1 2026 Results: Increasing demand for corporate AI training and the launch of Recrutopia, a recruitment service based on AI and human expertise
“We set out to implement new sales processes this year, and a month ago we launched Recrutopia, a recruitment brand that combines technology with human expertise to identify candidate profiles that are often not visible through traditional methods. In the first quarter, we observed strong client interest, and we remain confident in the market, even in a global context marked by significant growth in software development volume and declining prices due to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence. This year, more companies have approached us to provide AI training courses for their employees,” said Emil Muthu, founder and CEO of Neurony.
A month ago, Neurony launched Recrutopia, a recruitment service that uses Artificial Intelligence, automation, and human expertise to identify candidates much faster. In some cases, the process can be shortened from weeks or months to just a few days. Neurony’s management estimates that 20 clients will adopt the new service this year.
In the first quarter of this year, Neurony recorded revenues of approximately €1.8 million, about 25% more than in Q1 2025.
The company aims for revenues of €10.5 million in 2026, an 80% increase compared to €5.9 million last year. Neurony’s business is built on two key pillars: AI integration services, which could generate €4.5 million this year, and outsourcing services, estimated to generate €6 million.
If the company reaches its objectives, it could grow to 200 employees by the end of the year, compared to 112 today.
Main challenges: commoditization of software development and declines in Western Europe
The company works with clients in industries such as gaming, construction and related fields, insurance, tourism, and waste management.
Most of Neurony’s clients are based outside Romania, with local clients currently accounting for 14% of total revenue.
“We are aiming for a significant revenue increase of nearly 80% in 2026, but there are many challenges. We continue to grow steadily outside Romania, and international markets remain our main business pillar. For example, Artificial Intelligence has automated many stages of the development process, increasing productivity and reducing costs. At the same time, this phenomenon has accelerated the commoditization of software development services and this îs one of our biggest challenges. Another factor that may influence our ability to meet our goals is the stagnation or decline of certain Western European markets,” explained Emil Muthu.
