PERFORMANCE launch of The Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Faculty of Medical Engineering, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Business Management
The NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY POLITEHNICA BUCHAREST will organize on Wednesday, starting at 10:00, in the Senate Hall (Rectorate Building, 2nd floor), the launch of the conference entitled “PERFORMANCE – Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Faculty of Medical Engineering, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Business Management”, within the CALL FOR PROJECTS PR BI P6/6.4/1/2024, Call dedicated to educational infrastructure for higher education, including campuses, within the BUCHAREST-ILFOV REGIONAL PROGRAM 2021-2027, based on the financing contract dated 28.08.2025.
The project aims to develop the resilience of the infrastructure of POLITEHNICA Bucharest University by constructing a new building, intended for education and research spaces, including amphitheaters, classrooms, seminar rooms and laboratories. The newly created infrastructure will include accessibility measures, with the aim of improving and ensuring access to education for students and the academic environment, respecting the principles of desegregation and non-discrimination and promoting access to inclusive educational services.
Project location: Splaiul Independenței 313.
General objective: The general objective of the project is to develop the resilience of the POLITEHNICA Bucharest university infrastructure by constructing a new building with a height regime of D+G+4E, with a total built-up area of 34,500 sq m, having the function of spaces for education and research and implementing measures to make it accessible, with the aim of improving and ensuring access to education for students and the academic environment, respecting the principles of disaggregation and non-discrimination and promoting access to inclusive educational services.
Specific objective: Developing the university infrastructure in the Bucharest – Ilfov region by constructing a new building with the function of spaces for education and research, with a total built-up area of 34,500 sq m and implementing measures to make it accessible within the POLITEHNICA Bucharest University Campus.
Results
Improving equal access to quality and inclusive services in education, training and lifelong learning by developing accessible infrastructure, including by promoting resilience for distance and online education and training, with the achievement of:
- A new accessible building that meets current standards of inclusion and sustainability;
- Creation, modernization and equipment of 40 classrooms;
- Creation, modernization and equipment of 106 laboratories;
- Implementation of 2 accessibility measures for people with disabilities.
