Brussels – European IT company Cegeka has expanded its cyber security services with the introduction of its latest solution, the C-SOR2C (Cyber Security Operations and Response Centre). C-SOR2C covers all activity related to monitoring, detecting and responding to cyber security incidents. The launch was announced by Cegeka at the 2022 Cybersec Europe Forum.

The importance of cyber security cannot be ignored any longer, and this is true for small and large companies alike across all industries. \u201cSeveral years ago, we focused mainly on monitoring IT environments and preventing and detecting security incidents. In 2022, as a cyber security service provider, there is now a growing need for us to act as a \u2018response centre\u2019 for our customers to quickly help them with potential security issues,\u201d says Stijn Bijnens, Cegeka\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabrice Wynants, Cegeka\u2019s director of security, explains the meaning behind the name C-SOR2<\/sup>C: \u201cA modern SOC must be response-oriented and that is why we made a conscious decision to rename our security operations centre C-SOR2<\/sup>C. The \u2018R\u2019 stands for \u2018response\u2019 and also \u2018recovery\u2019. The combination of \u2018response\u2019 and \u2018recovery\u2019 reflects our aim to help companies become more resilient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
