Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, but a reality that HR teams are already facing in recruitment processes, performance management and workforce planning. At the same time, organizations in Romania are preparing for the entry into force of the EU Pay Transparency Directive, which redefines the way they will approach fairness, internal communication and employee trust. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These were the central themes of the sixth edition of SAP HR Connect Romania, organized on September 24, 2026 at Scenario – One Tower in Bucharest, by SAP Romania. Over 130 HR leaders and specialists, executives and executives from companies active in the local market participated in a strategic dialogue forum built at the intersection of strategy, technology and the future of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agenda focused on three directions: connecting the HR strategy with business objectives, the impact of AI on the future of work and preparing for salary transparency, to which was added a moment of inspiration held by Ana Maria Br\u00e2nz\u0103, Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and one of the most titled fencers in the history of Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Speed has become a central element of the way organizations operate today. Rightly so. If we don’t move fast enough, we lose ground. Artificial intelligence and technology in general give us the tools to be faster, but their true value comes when they help us connect people, processes and decisions in a common direction. Otherwise, if everyone moves quickly only in their own area, we risk creating only the illusion of progress. To really move forward, we need an overview and alignment,” said Diana David, Managing Director SAP Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first part of the event, SAP experts presented how artificial intelligence can be integrated into the daily work of employees, managers and HR teams, as well as the latest innovations for building connected and high-performance organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“HR today covers an extremely complex reality: different work models, diverse contexts, changing requirements, evolving skills and growing expectations from employees. The role of technology is to make this complexity easier to manage, without transferring it to people. With the help of data and artificial intelligence, we can simplify the employee experience, support more informed decisions and create the conditions for better results – both for employees and for the business,” said Irina Scor\u021bea-Tache, HCM Strategic Lead for Eastern Cluster & Ukraine, SAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A session dedicated to the future of work, based on SAP SuccessFactors Future of Work Research Lab, looked at how collaboration between people and AI can transform organizations, from employee experience and decision-making to leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pay transparency was another central topic. In an interactive dialogue, experts from Forvis Mazars Romania and PwC Romania discussed the implications of the EU Pay Transparency Directive and the steps that organizations need to take to meet the new requirements for fairness, communication and trust. The agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n
also included sessions on People Intelligence and recruitment with the help of technology, as well as case studies that illustrated the use of SAP SuccessFactors in organizations in Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event also included a special moment held by Ana Maria Br\u00e2nz\u0103, former fencer and Olympic champion, who spoke to the participants about performance, resilience and what it means to build a champion, in sports and in organizations, during the session “Take care of the champion in you”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
