University professors can access 21 grants of 5,000 euros each, supported by a record number of 16 companies in the IT industry<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS) announces the extension, until September 30, 2026 inclusive, of the project registration period for the ninth edition of the ANIS Scholarships program. University assistants, lecturers and doctoral students from faculties across the country can apply to one of the nine categories of the program. This year, ANIS and partner companies are awarding 21 grants worth 5,000 euros each, for projects that bring new technologies and methods to the teaching process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners will be announced at the ANIS Scholarships 2026 Gala, which will take place on November 10, at the Polytechnic University of Timi\u0219oara.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Between the emergence of a technology and its impact on the economy there is an essential stage \u2013 building skills. Universities and professors have a direct role in this process. Through the ANIS Scholarships we support initiatives that bring emerging technologies into the classroom and create contexts in which students learn to understand, use and build further with them”, said Corina Vasile, ANIS Executive Director.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s edition expands the program by introducing the AI for All category, dedicated to teachers who use or integrate AI-based concepts and tools within faculties and study programs in non-IT fields. The new category responds to the growing impact of artificial intelligence on different fields of activity and highlights the importance of developing interdisciplinary digital skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registrations are made on the digital platform dedicated to the ANIS Scholarships program, through which participants will be able to create accounts, upload the necessary documentation and follow the application process. The platform is also used by the members of the jury for the evaluation and scoring of projects. University lecturers, assistants and doctoral students up to 40 years old, who in the academic year 2025\u20132026 teach disciplines that include technologies such as Big Data, Cybersecurity, AI\/Machine Learning, IoT, Cloud Computing, Quantum Computing, Healthtech or projects in the category of Tech for All and AI for All, aimed at bringing technology to non-IT faculties, can apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the eight editions since the launch of the program, 107 projects from 51 faculties (21 university centers) have been supported by grants totaling 535,000 euros. The program has become a strategic platform for collaboration between academia and the tech industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 edition is carried out with the support of partners: Adobe Romania, Amazon Romania, Bitdefender, BMW Group TechWorks Romania, Booking Holdings, Cognizant Technology Solutions Romania, DB Global Technology, Endava Romania, Eviden Romania, Orange Services, Qualysoft, Schwarz Digits Romania, Siemens Romania, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, SoftServe Romania and Systematic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
