The Romanian labor market is entering a phase in which advanced skills are becoming increasingly important for the competitiveness of organizations and professionals. According to Cedefop, by 2035, 32% of job opportunities will require high-level qualifications, and the supply of specialists with this level of qualification is projected to remain below market demand.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, employment in Romania is estimated to grow by 0.6\u20130.9% annually between 2023 and 2035, and approximately 917,000 job opportunities<\/strong> are projected for professionals, generated both by new jobs and by replacing those who leave the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, continuous skills development remains a weak point: <\/strong>only 11.8% of internet users in Romania reported having taken courses or used online learning materials in 2025, compared with 34.8% at the EU level.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology is also accelerating this change. According to PwC (Global AI Jobs), labor market demands for occupations most exposed to AI are evolving more than twice as fast<\/strong> as those for the least exposed, and skills specific to AI use are associated with an average salary premium of 62%. In this context, critical thinking, leadership, creativity, and adaptability become just as important as technical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professionals who understand change are prepared to lead it<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations need professionals who can combine strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making with leadership, people management, financial and entrepreneurial skills, negotiation, crisis management, market and international business knowledge, and the management of digital transformation, innovation, sustainability, and governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, through the Bucharest Business School (BBS), is announcing a new application period for fall 2026 for six MBA and Executive MBA programs designed for professionals, managers, and leaders who wish to strengthen their decision-making and leadership skills in complex economic contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eThe economy is simultaneously undergoing technological, geopolitical, and sectoral transformations that are reshaping markets, business models, and the skills required for success. In Romania, this trend coincides with a growing need for highly trained specialists. An MBA or Executive MBA thus becomes more than just a degree: it is a framework within which professionals learn to integrate strategy, data, finance, people, and industry-specific knowledge to make better decisions and drive change. Through the BBS portfolio, we offer six professional development paths that help professionals turn today\u2019s uncertainty into direction and opportunity\u201d<\/strong>, says Prof. Vasile Strat, Ph.D., dean of the Bucharest Business School at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies ASE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASE – BBS, among the world’s 300 AMBA-accredited business schools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bucharest Business School is the first and only business school in Romania to be internationally accredited by AMBA (Association of MBAs)<\/strong>, an organization that evaluates MBA programs and business schools based on criteria related to curriculum quality, faculty, student experience, graduate outcomes, and connections to the business community. BBS is part of an international community of approximately 300 AMBA-accredited schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROCA Executive MBA: Leadership for Complex Decisions <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An international dual-degree program, offered in partnership with ESG-UQAM, Canada, for managers with at least 4 years of experience and entrepreneurs. Over the course of 22 months, participants deepen their skills in general management, strategy, economics and finance, data analysis, marketing, operations, international business, HR, entrepreneurship, crisis management, and technology. Taught in English in a blended format, the program has more than 30 years of history and over 1,000 graduates to date; it offers access to mobility opportunities and summer schools organized by international partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INDE MBA: For management careers with an international perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dual-degree program organized in partnership with CNAM Paris – an academic institution with a tradition spanning more than two centuries in France – for professionals with at least 3 years of experience. Over the course of 22 months, the program combines economics, finance, marketing, management, HR, entrepreneurship, negotiation, strategy, project management, and innovation. Taught entirely in English in a blended format, the program offers MBA degrees awarded by CNAM Paris and ASE and is accredited internationally by AMBA and nationally by ARACIS – the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy MBA: Leadership for the New Energy Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A program designed for energy professionals and managers, including executives and those seeking to transition into general management. The program is designed for candidates with at least 3 years of professional experience, including at least one year in the energy sector. Throughout the program, participants develop leadership and management skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of energy markets, regulation, sustainability, and sector-wide transformations. The program is taught in English, in a blended format, over 22 months, and is accredited by AMBA and ARACIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business Intelligence MBA: From Effective Data Utilization to Strategic Decisions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program, the only one of its kind in Europe, combines management with advanced analytical skills for professionals focused on transforming information into strategic decisions. The curriculum covers information analysis, risk assessment, intelligence management, governance, fraud prevention, and the use of data to develop products, services, and strategies. The program lasts 22 months, is taught in English in a blended format, and is AMBA-accredited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative MBA: From Creativity to Business Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An international program designed for professionals in the creative and cultural industries, combining leadership and management with entrepreneurship, strategy, digital transformation, branding, communication, and creative project management. Taught in English in a blended format over 22 months, the program is accredited by AMBA and ARACIS and is the only MBA program of its kind in Romania.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education MBA: Leadership Skills for Transforming Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first MBA program designed for education professionals, with a curriculum that combines leadership and management with educational policy, the economics of education, team management, data-driven decision-making, innovation, educational technologies, and change management. Taught in English in a blended format over 22 months, the program aims to develop the skills necessary for leading organizations and transforming educational systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for the BBS programs for fall 2026 are now open, according to each program\u2019s schedule. Through the six MBA and Executive MBA programs, professionals can choose between a general management education and specializations tailored to fields undergoing transformation, developing the skills needed to make better decisions, lead teams and projects, and remain competitive in a changing economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
