The expansion begins with the opening of the Spaces Business Garden center in Bucharest, followed by the new HQ Egros Office locations in Iași and HQ City Gate North Tower in Bucharest, in the last quarter of the year. Early next year, IWG will strengthen its presence in Timișoara by opening a new Regus center within the ISHO project, one of the most representative urban regeneration projects in western Romania.

“Romania is a strong market in our region,” said Alina Gomotirceanu-Dumitrașcu, Country Manager IWG Romania. “Companies are rethinking how and where their employees work. They want premium locations, contractual flexibility and the ability to quickly expand or reduce their occupied space, depending on how the business evolves, without the burden of long-term leases and high initial investments. Our expansion, including the new Spaces Business Garden center, is a direct response to this demand. The flexible office is no longer just an alternative, for many companies it is already the first option,” added Alina Gomotirceanu-Dumitrașcu. “Our goal is that, in any area where business is developing in Romania, there will be an IWG workspace nearby to support their activity.”

The four locations total over 5,100 sqm of flexible spaces and will provide companies with private offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms and collaborative work areas, along with the Design Your Own Office service, which allows the configuration of spaces according to the needs of each organization.

The new centers will be located in some of the most representative office developments in Romania. In Bucharest, Spaces Business Garden will operate within the award-winning Business Garden complex, strategically positioned at the intersection of the city’s commercial, academic and transport networks, while HQ City Gate North Tower will be located in Piața Presei Libere, in one of the most important class A office buildings in the north of the capital, with easy access to the city center and Henri Coandă International Airport.

In Iași, the new HQ center in the Egros Office building will offer companies access to a well-connected commercial area recognized for its technological and university ecosystem. At the same time, the Regus center within ISHO is located in a landmark mixed-use project on the banks of the Bega River, close to the historic center of Timișoara and one of the most dynamic business and innovation ecosystems in the region.

The expansion in Romania takes place in the context of an accelerated development of the IWG network worldwide. After a record-breaking 2025, the company continued its growth momentum in 2026, signing 382 new locations globally in the first quarter of the year. The International Workplace Group network currently exceeds one million workspaces in 121 countries.

“Romania is an important market for the expansion of International Workplace Group and the four new centres reflect our commitment to meeting the growing demand for modern flexible working solutions,” said Mark Dixon, Executive Chairman and Founder of International Workplace Group PLC. “More and more companies are adopting flexible and cost-effective operating models and we are seeing a growing demand for high-quality workspaces that offer employees more flexibility and companies the ability to quickly adapt their operations. By expanding our network, we are giving organisations more choice and access to modern spaces, closer to where people live and work.”, he added.

The market continues to evolve towards hybrid and decentralised working models and the demand for flexible spaces is continuously growing.
