The initiative reflects the University\u2019s commitment to preparing graduates not only for today\u2019s careers, but also for emerging professions shaped by rapid technological change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University\u2019s approach is based on a simple principle: artificial intelligence creates the greatest value when combined with critical thinking, strong digital skills, and the ability to make informed, evidence-based and ethical decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"h-a-university-wide-ai-learning-journey\"><strong>A University-wide AI Learning Journey<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of their field of study, students develop practical AI competencies through a curriculum that includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Critical Thinking<\/strong>, designed to strengthen analytical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making;<\/li><li>digital skills developed throughout the curriculum and supported by internationally recognized certifications such as ICDL;<\/li><li>hands-on experience with AI tools and Prompt Engineering;<\/li><li><strong>Process Optimization &amp; Automatization with AI<\/strong>, a course focused on applying AI technologies to improve organizational processes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on their specialization, students also take discipline-specific courses such as&nbsp;<strong>AI in Business &amp; Industry<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>AI in Sport and Kinesiotherapy<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Cybercrime Law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cA university\u2019s mission is to prepare people who can adapt, grow and succeed throughout their careers. Our goal is to graduate professionals who understand technology, think critically, make sound decisions, and use AI responsibly to innovate, create value and contribute to a human-centered digital society,\u201d said&nbsp;<strong>Prof. Costel Negricea, PhD, Habil., Rector of Romanian-American University<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"h-research-and-infrastructure-supporting-ai-innovation\"><strong>Research and Infrastructure Supporting AI Innovation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The educational initiative is reinforced by a growing research ecosystem and dedicated technology infrastructure through the University\u2019s research centers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>CRAI<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Center for Research in AI<\/li><li><strong>CSMI<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Computational Science &amp; Machine Intelligence<\/li><li><strong>iRIOT<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Center for Robotics, IoT &amp; Applied Informatics<\/li><li><strong>IntelBDA<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Economic Intelligence, Blockchain &amp; Data Analysis<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These centers conduct research in responsible AI, process automation, computational neuroscience, human-machine interaction, and Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students and researchers have access to advanced facilities, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>EEG equipment for teaching and research;<\/li><li>virtual reality systems;<\/li><li>eye-tracking technologies;<\/li><li>robotics, automation and 3D printing laboratories;<\/li><li>high-performance computing resources for AI development and experimentation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"h-international-partnerships-driving-digital-education\"><strong>International Partnerships Driving Digital Education<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Romanian-American University collaborates with technology companies, industry partners and research institutions on projects in fintech, robotics, smart manufacturing and the Internet of Things (IoT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its international research activities include collaborations with the&nbsp;<strong>University of Florence (UniFi)<\/strong>&nbsp;through projects such as&nbsp;<strong>READy<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>EMILE<\/strong>, which explore the responsible use of artificial intelligence in education and develop innovative AI-supported tools for primary school teachers.
