The initiative reflects the growing impact of AI on all areas of activity and the need to develop interdisciplinary digital skills.

At the same time, ANIS introduces a digital platform dedicated to the ANIS Scholarships program, through which participants will be able to create accounts, upload the necessary documentation and follow the application process. The platform will also be used by the jury members for the evaluation and scoring of the projects, contributing to the streamlining of the selection process and a simpler and more transparent experience for all participants.

“At a time when artificial intelligence is redefining industries, professions and business models, collaboration between universities and companies becomes more important than ever. Through the ANIS Scholarships program, we want to support teachers who bring innovation to the classroom, connect education to market realities and contribute to the formation of the skills that the digital economy needs. In this context, the launch of the AI for All category reflects our conviction that literacy and the intelligent use of AI-based technologies must become accessible to students in as many fields as possible, not just those in technical faculties. We are also continuing the process of digitizing the program by introducing a dedicated platform that simplifies both the application process and the evaluation of projects by the jury. At the same time, we believe that investing in academic excellence is essential for retaining and developing talent in Romania, providing young people with relevant learning opportunities and competitive professional prospects. By supporting teachers who inspire and innovate, we contribute to building an ecosystem in which education, technology and the business environment work together for the future”, said Corina Vasile, Executive Director of ANIS.

Eligible areas for projects:

Candidates can propose projects in the following areas (*with the possibility of updating the categories until August 2026):

Big Data

Cybersecurity

Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

Internet of Things

Cloud Computing

Tech for All – courses that use technology in non-IT faculties

Quantum Computing

Healthtech

AI for All – courses that use technology in non-IT faculties

Eligibility criteria

Participants must:

Be no more than 40 years old

Be course holders, university assistants or doctoral students

Integrate new technologies and innovative methods into courses or laboratories in the academic year 2025–2026

Propose new or significantly updated courses/labs (≥50% in 2025 or ≥60% in the last 2 years)

The projects selected in the first phase of evaluation will go through an interview stage with the evaluation committee, before the final gala in November.

Impact of the program

Over the eight previous editions, 107 projects from 51 faculties (21 university centers) were supported by grants totaling 535,000 euros.
