At the 12th edition of the Romanian Business Services Forum and Awards Gala, organized by Romanian Business Services Forum and Awards Gala in partnership with The Diplomat-Bucharest and Outsourcing Today, Adinel Tudor, CEO of EVO Properties, delivered a keynote speech focusing on the value, resilience, and future of the business services sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opening his remarks, he thanked the organizers and participants, noting the strong momentum of the industry: \u201cIt is the 12th edition of the Business Services Forum and Awards Gala. It seems that the industry is doing good. It keeps on getting awarded.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also acknowledged the challenges of daily urban life while attending the event, before moving into a broader reflection on gratitude and human effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A central theme of his speech was the unseen contribution of the business services industry, which he compared to the human heart: \u201c100,000 is approximately the number of beats of each heart per day\u2026 And yet we don\u2019t take the time to express gratitude for our own heart. The Business Services industry is pretty much the heart of a lot of businesses. It pumps and it pumps, and the blood flows.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tudor emphasized that professionals in the sector often work \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d without recognition, despite being essential to global business operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drawing on his experience as an endurance athlete, he compared the industry to marathon running: \u201cEverything that happens behind the scenes, that is the true marathon, that is the true endurance, and that is the spirit of your industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He highlighted the scale of the sector in Romania, referring to approximately 280,000 professionals involved in services ranging from payroll and software development to global support functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s 280,000 people that are clocking away millions and millions of man-hours per month\u2026 you are the unsung heroes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tudor also framed the annual awards as a recognition of collective, long-term effort rather than individual achievements: \u201cThe awards tonight celebrate the millions and millions of man-hours that are put at work so that other businesses can work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the topic of workplace transformation, he briefly presented EVO Properties\u2019 approach to evolving office spaces into community-oriented environments, integrating wellness and social infrastructure such as fitness areas and improved amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He concluded his remarks by addressing the impact of artificial intelligence on the sector, suggesting it should be seen as an enabler rather than a threat: \u201cWhen carbon-bladed running shoes appeared, runners did not disappear. They just got better, faster\u2026 I believe AI will unlock and empower better efficiency, better teams, and maybe better results.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tudor ended with a message of appreciation for the industry\u2019s role in the wider economy: \u201cIf you stop, the entire economy halts. Congratulations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
