Professional infrastructure monitoring is becoming essential for digital resilience

The enterprise environment in Romania faces 2–3 IT incidents every day, at least one of which can be classified as an incident with a major risk of disrupting digital operations. The most frequent issues are caused by hardware failures (31%), security infrastructure (26%), computing and data storage systems (25%), network (21%), and software (20%).

The data was synthesized following the analysis of over 3,500 incidents resolved over the last four years by Datanet Systems’ IT support team for an extensive client base consisting of public and private organizations in Romania.

To increase the digital resilience of its clients, Datanet Systems has expanded the capabilities of its Network Operations Center (NOC) through end-to-end monitoring services, which cover all operational components of the digital environment. By combining monitoring and observability into a unified approach, Datanet Systems aims to deliver a differentiating operational model to the local market. Staffed by a team of 12 experts, the center operates 24/7 and benefits from multidisciplinary skills and specialized certifications.

Datanet NOC has the capacity to monitor heterogeneous IT infrastructures and complex applications, regardless of whether they were implemented by Datanet Systems or third parties. The services uniquely combine Networking and Security Operations Center capabilities within the local market and can be accessed both integrated or independently. Thanks to its national coverage, Datanet Systems can guarantee, through SLA, on-site interventions anywhere in Romania within maximum 4 hours.

“The data we have accumulated over recent years clearly shows that, in a modern digital environment, the lack of continuous monitoring can turn a minor incident into a major business problem. This is also why we have significantly upgraded our support services. Today, Datanet offers an integrated Networking and Security Operations Center equipped with some of the most advanced analytical and observability solutions and tools. As a result, the Center is able to capture signals from all of a company’s IT components and allow intervention before an incident becomes a real business issue. And when field intervention is needed, thanks to our nationwide coverage, we can arrive on-site anywhere in Romania within maximum 4 hours,” said Dragoș Stroescu, Executive Director of Datanet Systems.

The data analyzed by Datanet Systems shows that incidents stem from relatively heterogeneous causes, which many organizations cannot identify quickly because they do not monitor the IT environment centrally. Most Romanian organizations, both public and private, manage their infrastructure through separate teams (servers, network, applications) without real operational coordination between them. Consequently, the risks of affecting digital resilience increase significantly.

The situation in Romania does not differ much from the global landscape. According to the State of Observability 2025 study, 77% of IT leaders reported major downtime incidents for digital services over the past two years.

Because the costs associated with maintaining an in-house Network Operations Center are very high, most organizations at the European level are turning toward outsourced NOC services. According to analysts at Grand View Research, this market is expected to record an average annual growth rate of 10.4% between 2026 and 2030.

About Datanet Systems

Established in 1998, Datanet Systems is one of Romania’s leading integrators of complex IT solutions.
