{"id":15545,"date":"2026-04-30T08:45:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T08:45:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/outsourcing-today.ro\/?p=15545"},"modified":"2026-04-30T08:45:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T08:45:07","slug":"horvath-companies-are-accelerating-investments-in-digitalization-but-the-value-for-the-business-remains-difficult-to-demonstrate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/outsourcing-today.ro\/?p=15545","title":{"rendered":"Horv\u00e1th: Companies are accelerating investments in digitalization, but the value for the business remains difficult to demonstrate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Companies are investing rapidly in digital transformation, but cannot clearly demonstrate the value generated.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Digitalization budgets increase significantly, on average by 30%, but strategies and mechanisms for measuring results remain insufficiently developed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies are increasingly investing in digitalization, but they are having difficulty demonstrating the real value generated by these initiatives, according to the study &#8220;Digital Value: How AI and Digital Transformation Finally Pay Off&#8221;, conducted by Horv\u00e1th, an international management consulting company, present on the Romanian market for over 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main conclusions of the study:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>67% of companies are increasing their digitalization budgets, with an average increase of approximately 30%;<\/li><li>Approximately 30% of investments are directed towards artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives;<\/li><li>Only 44% of organizations consistently measure the impact of digitalization on business performance;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Almost half of companies do not have a fully defined digital strategy, and 4% do not have one at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although budgets are growing rapidly, the lack of clear measurement mechanisms and a coherent strategy limits the ability of organizations to turn investments into tangible results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">\u201cCompanies are increasingly investing in digitalization, but the real challenge is no longer funding, but the ability to generate measurable value and integrate these initiatives into performance management,\u201d<strong> said L\u00e1szl\u00f3 P\u00e1lh\u00e1zi, Principal, Horv\u00e1th Romania.<\/strong> \u201cWithout clear indicators and a direct link between technology investments and business objectives, digitalization risks remaining an exercise in modernization, not a real engine of growth,\u201d added P\u00e1lh\u00e1zi.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From investment to measurable value<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study results show that many organizations are in a transition phase: from a focus on technology implementation, to the need to correlate digital investments with business objectives and performance indicators. Without this correlation, digitalization risks remaining a costly effort, with benefits that are difficult to quantify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study\u2019s conclusions show that organizations that manage to achieve superior results from digitalization are those that treat technology as an integral part of operational and financial transformation, not as an end in itself. Correlating digital initiatives with strategic objectives, defining relevant KPIs and assuming responsibility at the top management level are essential elements to transform investments into measurable impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Background<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Horv\u00e1th \u201cDigital Value\u201d study analyzes how companies adopt and leverage digital technologies and AI, highlighting the main trends and challenges in digital transformation, and was conducted by interviewing top representatives (board members, senior managers and department heads) of 213 companies in Europe and the US.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Companies are investing rapidly in digital transformation, but cannot clearly demonstrate the value generated.
