As a result, public digital services will become faster, safer, and better connected nationwide.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Romania\u2019s <strong>Government Private Cloud<\/strong>,<strong> the largest critical digital infrastructure developed in the country,<\/strong> is entering the operational stage at national level and will serve as the technical foundation for the state\u2019s digital public services. The implementation involved building an <strong>Internal Cloud infrastructure<\/strong>, distributed across four data centers \u2014 <strong>Bucharest, Timi\u0219, Bra\u0219ov, and Sibiu<\/strong> \u2014 to ensure operational continuity nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system is based on <strong>570 server systems<\/strong> supporting processing, storage, backup, and mission-critical functions, <strong>91 storage systems<\/strong> (block, file, and object), as well as <strong>over 340 networking devices<\/strong>. At the software level, the platform integrates automation and management solutions that allow the development and operation of digital services in a secure and scalable environment, suitable for a critical national infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation was carried out by a team of dozens of engineers and specialists who worked closely with experts from the <strong>Special Telecommunications Service (STS)<\/strong> to integrate and operationalize the infrastructure at national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ovidiu Ghiman, CEO of Metaminds<\/strong>, the company that, together with <strong>Trencadis Corp<\/strong>, implemented the Internal Cloud component, stated: \u201cThis project reflects our team\u2019s ability to implement complex solutions with a major impact on digital public services for citizens. Throughout the process, we consistently aligned with the high standards required by the project and the beneficiary. All of this confirms both the strong technical expertise of our team and the commitment, responsibility, and professionalism with which every step of this project was implemented.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By <strong>June 2026<\/strong>, at least <strong>30 IT&amp;C applications and systems<\/strong> through which government digital services are delivered will be migrated to the cloud, with <strong>Metaminds<\/strong> being one of the technology service providers involved in this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The beneficiary of the migration process is the <strong>Authority for the Digitalization of Romania (ADR)<\/strong>, together with the <strong>Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization<\/strong>, acting as reform coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The migration will allow public institutions to exchange data more efficiently, enabling citizens to access documents and services online more easily, faster, and securely. For public administration, the <strong>Government Private Cloud<\/strong> will optimize costs by eliminating fragmented IT systems and will provide a secure and scalable framework for developing and operating digital services nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation of the Government Private Cloud is carried out by the <strong>Authority for the Digitalization of Romania (ADR)<\/strong>, acting as beneficiary, partner, and contracting authority, responsible for coordinating the project and managing the Dedicated Cloud Component, in partnership with the <strong>Special Telecommunications Service (STS)<\/strong> \u2014 the technical and security administrator of the Internal component of the Government Private Cloud \u2014 and the <strong>Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Special Telecommunications Service<\/strong> will manage the core infrastructure and key components of the Internal Government Private Cloud \u2014 <strong>Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)<\/strong> and <strong>Platform as a Service (PaaS)<\/strong> services.
