This month, Banca Comercial\u0103 Rom\u00e2n\u0103 (BCR) announced the launch of the fourth edition of the national LifeLab program, which brings financial education closer to teachers and students, regardless of the subject taught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starting with this edition, the program introduces a new component \u2013 \u200b\u200bthe development of a community of teacher-ambassadors, who help their colleagues build confidence through financial education, understand its importance in any subject and use the free resources available on the LifeLab.ro platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is carried out in partnership with the Association of Private Schools in Romania (ASP), the Eduino Association and the Education for Success Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMoney is part of almost all aspects of our lives, which is why we believe that financial education should be taught in every subject in school. This is what Life Lab – interdisciplinary financial education, has been doing since 2022. This year’s edition brings a paradigm shift – we give teachers the opportunity to become ambassadors of financial education and to carry forward the values \u200b\u200bof the program in their communities, transforming themselves into mentors for colleagues interested in integrating financial concepts in the classroom. When teachers have confidence in themselves, they transmit this feeling to their students and raise generations prepared for life, who understand the world they live in and who know that they can make good choices,\u201d says Nicoleta Deliu-Pa\u0219ol, Director of Communication & CSR BCR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Teachers integrate, LifeLab rewards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Teachers who want to introduce financial education in the classroom, regardless of the subject they teach, can win prizes in the competition organized by LifeLab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The national competition runs between October 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026 and is open to teachers in Romania from all education cycles \u2013 preschool, primary, secondary and high school \u2013 who apply the educational materials available in the LifeLab platform, accessible through the website www.lifelab.ro, in the classroom. In order to register, participants must create an account on the platform, fill out a form and upload evidence that they have used the resource with their students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the judging process, 80 winners will be designated, each of whom will be awarded an eMAG voucher worth 300 lei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Free educational materials, for any subject<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Currently, the LifeLab.ro platform offers teachers over 500 financial education materials adapted for each educational cycle and over 20 subjects, from biology to physical education and sports. The resource portfolio is varied – educational sheets, video materials, examples of good practices, dedicated webinars, supported by specialists and, soon, interactive financial education courses. In addition, teachers can access free webinars, created especially for them, directly from the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LifeLab, the community of professionals who trust them and in financial education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The fourth edition comes with a new element: a community of program ambassadors, formed by teachers who carry forward the LifeLab vision in schools, in communities, to their colleagues and, sometimes, on Social Media – to be exact, 40 ambassadors from 18 counties and the Municipality of Bucharest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Regardless of the subject taught, the ambassadors have something in common: through their involvement in the program, they understood that they do not need a special hour for financial education, but only the confidence that they can integrate the essential notions where it matters most \u2013 in the classroom, as it shows for each of them. Their role is to train their colleagues, to guide them in the use of resources, to organize events for the teaching community and, perhaps most importantly, to help young people understand the world around them by embracing financial education as education for life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Financial education means trust<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Financial education is education for life. For 9 years, BCR has been democratizing access to financial notions through free national programs such as Money School and LifeLab, providing resources, courses, and support for over 1 million Romanians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the level of financial education in schools increases, both teachers and students gain confidence that they can make smarter decisions and develop useful skills outside of school.
