Romania ranks 9th in Europe and 3rd in Central and Eastern Europe, after Poland and the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"761\" src=\"https:\/\/outsourcing-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/signal-2025-09-29-180410_002-1024x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14103\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are in the Top 10 and we have the chance to capitalize on this potential by supporting the digitalization of SMEs and ensuring fair competition conditions for Romanian stores,\u201d <strong>said Cristi Movil\u0103, President of ARMO.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the 2025 report, online commerce in Romania generates a broad economic impact, stimulating the development of courier and postal services, software, digital advertising and even local production of goods. \u201cOnline commerce is no longer just a convenience for consumers, but a real engine of economic and fiscal growth, connecting Romania to the European Single Market,\u201d <strong>added Cristian Pelivan, Executive Director of ARMO.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"770\" src=\"https:\/\/outsourcing-today.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/signal-2025-09-29-180410-1024x770.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14104\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Challenges and opportunities for 2025:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Digitization of SMEs \u2013 only 12% of Romanian SMEs sell online, below the European average; dedicated programs are needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Level playing field \u2013 extra-EU trade puts pressure on Romanian retailers; ARMO supports the reform of the EU Customs Code and the application of the level playing field principle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Emerging technologies \u2013 AI is already used for content, customer support and stock forecasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Green logistics and sustainability \u2013 opportunities for the development of locker networks, electric fleets and the integration of SGR mechanisms in online commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the European level, the main trends confirmed by the study are: supporting SMEs in digital transformation, fair rules for all players, investments in green logistics and administrative simplification (electronic invoicing, integrated reporting).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European E-Commerce Report 2025 is produced by Ecommerce Europe and EuroCommerce, based on contributions from over 25 national e-commerce associations, including ARMO.
