Datanet Systems Cluj has modernized and re-technologically upgraded the two Data Centers operated by Tenaris Silcotub at the headquarters in Zal\u0103u. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project involved extensive operations to improve the civil constructions and the IT infrastructure, to bring them to the best performing standards in the field. Datanet Systems Cluj used state-of-the-art technologies and ensured the operational continuity of Tenaris Silcotub’s production systems throughout the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration included the modernization of data rooms and power supply systems, the installation of professional air conditioning equipment, high-performance UPSs and a generator. At the same time, the access control and video surveillance systems were restored. The objective of the investment was to achieve superior objectives of operational continuity, security and fire protection<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated by Daniel Miric\u0103, Implementation & Support Senior Manager, Tenaris Silcotub: “<\/strong>By implementing this project in collaboration with Datanet Systems, Tenaris Silcotub has modernized the two Data Centers in the Zal\u0103u location, which now meet international standards in the field and ensure high availability and protection for the IT infrastructure and company data.” The project had a high level of complexity, both through the integration of various technologies, and through the importance it has for the beneficiary. To carry out this work, Silcotub organized a public tender, won by Datanet Systems Cluj. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The retrofitting of a Data Center requires advanced technical and project management skills. In the Tenaris Silcotub project, we had two major objectives: ensuring operational continuity throughout the modernization works, but also bringing the Data Centers from Zal\u0103u to the most current standards in the field. We designed and implemented a high-performance technical solution that will ensure Tenaris Silcotub a higher level of availability and security in the long term,” sates Mircea Pop, Executive Director, Datanet Systems Cluj.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two Data Centers operated by Tenaris Silcotub at the headquarters in Zal\u0103u, represent an important node in the company’s infrastructure, supporting production management systems in several factories globally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the international Tenaris group, Silcotub Zal\u0103u is a producer of industrial pipes and one of the largest companies in Transylvania. The products made by Silcotub are used in the oil and gas extraction industry, for the transportation of fluids, in the energy and automotive fields. Annual production exceeds 600,000 tons of steel and is mainly exported to the EU, North America, Asia and the Middle East. The company exceeded a turnover of 4 billion lei in 2022 and has over 1,800 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
