66 percent of IT&C companies in Bucharest choose to work in Bucharest's first district

Following a study conducted for the Bucharest market by CBRE real estate consultancy company, shows that 66 per cent of the companies operating in the IT&C industry prefer the offices that are not comprised within business parks and located in The central-norther area of Bucharest, respectively, in the first district of the capital.

The study took into account 120 companies totaling 63.000 employees. Following the study, the above-mentioned areas have also the highest renting prices and the largest amount of benefits:
CBD (Piata Victoriei - Piata Charles de Gaulle), northern Calea Floreasca – Blvd. Barbu Văcărescu. According to the study, 30 per cent of IT&C employees work in northern area of Bucharest.

In terms of division by districts, the largest concentration of headquarters of major IT & C players is in sector 1, with 46% of companies located here. Second is the second sector, with 27 per cent of its headquarters, followed by sector 6, which attracted 17 per cent of the companies. Apparently there is sector 5, with 7 per cent of the important names in the field, who chose to rent office space in the area and the sectors 4 (3 per cent) and 3 (2 per cent).

"CBRE is a company engaging a lot of focus on the real estate market research from the perspective of the beneficiaries to whom we address, both directly and indirectly. It is important to know which are the needs of the people who work for the CBRE's clients in order to provide them with the best services. If the employees are satisfied, the tenant companies and the developer of the buildings will also be pleased. Thus, in two of the previous studies we examined the criteria that improve the working environment in the offices in Bucharest, but also the needs of the employees according to the generation to which they belong, it was the high time to analyze the IT&C market, the industry that now supplies for most of the renting demand, both in Bucharest and in the country," says Daniela Boca, Director of Research at CBRE Romania.
