ING Tech Romania plans to have 750 IT specialists by 2020

The software division of ING operating ING Software Development Center rebranded to ING Tech Romania plans to reach the number of IT specialists that are currently working in Romania to 750 professionals by 2020, the company announced.

2018-03-21 12:58:31

Currently, the software division of ING reaches 500 employees, after it had 100 employees at the end of 2015. Its turnover increased by 47 per cent in 2017 compared to previous year, from 19 million Euro in 2016 to 28 million Euro in 2017. As a result of the strong increase in the number of employees, ING Tech Romania started this year also a search for a new headquarters with the plan to move in 2020.

"ING Tech Romania has developed organically both in terms of number of employees and size of business. However, we are evaluating success not only through figures, but also by confirming that we have succeeded in building a company with an authentic IT culture. The quality of the experts who choose to join us, but also the size of the projects we are working on, shows that we are in the right direction. To support the development of the company, we are in the process of searching for a new headquarters for ING Tech Romania, a headquarters that accommodates the growing number of employees and reflects the identity of the hub, "said Marian Ion, CEO of ING Tech Romania.

ING Tech Romania's Data Management team is part of the global Wholesale Banking team and develops solutions for all 40 countries where ING is present, including in Asia and Australia. In the current year, the local Data Management team will develop data analysis services as a priority. The Core Banking team prepares to take over three new countries in which ING is present, advancing in the construction of a single digital platform.
