SG European Business Services joins Center for Blood Transfusions in Bucharest's initiative to organize blood donation campaigns

In the last year, Romania in general and Bucharest in particular faced a severe lack of blood in its hospitals. A big number of patients were forced to wait for surgery or treatment, as the need for blood is double than the current supplies.

Not only because of this situation, but also due to its social responsibility commitment, Societe Generale European Business Services joined the Center for Blood Transfusions in Bucharest's initiative and organized until now two blood donation campaigns, right at the office, with the help of its CSR Ambassadors team.

On 28th of August Societe Generale European Business Services hosted the second campaign of this year, resulting in 100 employees answering the call. After the rigorous medical examination half of them donated over 21 liters of blood, giving hope to the ill and their families. It is a proof that every little act of caring, added to a bigger goal, can have a real impact on a crucial issue – in this case the severe lack of blood in Romanian healthcare system.
