Alten opens a delivery center in Iasi

Engineering and technology solutions company Alten is opening a delivery center in Iaşi (Romania) on May 10th2017, that will gather more than 160 employees including mainly engineers.

This opening strengthens and structures the lasting presence of the French group, world leader in engineering and technology consulting, in Romania, a company release states.

With an international growth of +11.5 per cent and more than half of its turnover made internationally in 2016 (52 per cent), ALTEN is a group deeply established worldwide that accompanies the projects of industry and tertiary leaders. Located in more than 20 countries, the Group is enabled to advance in line to local and business special features.

The creation of the Alten Delivey Center (ADC) in Iaşi is part of an overall strategy to create a big platform of Nearshore and Offshore engineering centers. The building of such a platform enables ALTEN Group to cover a very wide spectrum of skills and business sectors, and to ensure consistence in processes and operational organization.

This new Alten Delivery Center (ADC) will work on outsourced projects for its clients especially in Automotive (PSA, Renault, Jaguar), Energy & Life Sciences (General Electric Power, GE Healthcare, Thorn Lighting), Aeronautics Space & Defence (Airbus Helicopters), that are evidence of the multi-sectoral expertise of ALTEN.

Alten is planning to increase its workforce in Iaşi to have in total 200 employees by the end of the year with the recruiting of engineers in Mechanical, Electric/Electronic and Supply Chain.
On May 10th, the Iaşi ADC located in the Nicolina Office Center will be officially open with the participation of local authorities and Stéphane Ougier, Executive Vice President ALTEN France & Solutions subsidiary, Pascal Amore, ALTEN Head of Structured Projects, Didier Marchet, ALTEN Technical Director and Delia Orhei, Director of Operations ADC Iaşi.

ALTEN Romania, a subsidiary of Alten Group, was established in 2006, in Bucharest, with the aim to provide technical consulting for the customers of this specific market.

ALTEN Romania has a team of over 400 specialists in its offices from Bucharest, Timisoara. Cluj and Iasi. The team serves clients both locally and internationally, in sectors such as: automotive, aeronautical, banking and financial services, pharma and telecom, on software and web development projects, business analysis, business intelligence, project management, testing, technical support, auto and aero engineering, hardware design and motor calibration.
The SI/ Telecom Division has a team of consultants with specific specializations in Java, .NET, PHP, C#, C++, Siebel, Cognos, MS BI and Oracle BI, BSCS, while the Techno Division has a team of consultants specialized in CATIA V5, NewPDM, SolidWorks, Matlab/ Simulink, HIL, Autosar.

As a world leader in engineering and technology consulting, Alten carries out research and developmental conception projects for leading companies in the industrial, telecommunications and services sectors (Technical Departments and IT Departments) around the world. Created in 1988, the Alten group has a workforce of over 24,000 in 20 countries, 90 per cent of which are top engineers. Its turnover reached 1.748 billion Euro in 2016.
