A look on the sector shows that the overall change is the only constant that is universally recognized and validated. In this context, the future belongs to companies that rely on the development of agile, adaptable and sustainable business models, according to Luxoft. "The future belongs to the companies that are fully connected to digital transformations. At present, the ability of organizations to reshape their business models according to technological challenges is essential, "said Bogdan Pelinescu, Managing Director, Luxoft Romania.

The trends in software solutions that are considered to shape this year include the augmented reality applied in the automotive industry, big data and cloud, Internet of Things, cyber security and unified communication solutions implemented in cloud.

Regarding the augmented reality (AR) applied in the automotive industry, the company representatives mention solutions such as Head Up Display (augmented reality HUD), to be more and more present in this industry. According to Luxoft, 2017 will bring the consolidation of augmented reality solutions in order to improve the interactivity of the computer board and supplying assistance to drivers. Also, augmented reality solutions to indicate obstacles on the road or trails displays will become more and more widespread.

Moreover, the cloud-computing continues its development also in 2017, as result of massive investments run in previous years, with the general goal to create a software that is accessible from anywhere. In this scenario, the cloud-computing solutions will keep their significant share within the overall optimization strategies of the companies regarding the cost effectiveness. This trend will also result in the increased need for cloud architecture developers within the organization.

Not the least, the Internet of Things Internet of Things (IoT) underpins the digital transformation that is currently dictating how people and devices interact. By 2020, the Luxoft representatives estimate that there will be over 50 billion devices connected all over the world. In this context, the vulnerability of devices facing the DDoS attacks is obvious and, according to Luxoft findings, the Blockchain will play a major role in increasing data security and protection. Also, machine learning will be more and more used to detect the malfunctions, considering the multitude and variety of devices interconnected within the IoT global world. A natural worry within this context is the cyber security and the solutions implemented in this respect will play a major role to fight against a multitude of attacks especially when it comes to industrial automation and industrial robots. For software developers, this is a significant challenge to create more and more complex solutions to prevent and fight the cybercrimes.
