Atos achieves over 54 million Euro turnover in 2016

IT services provider Atos, announced it ended 2016 with a turnover of 54.2 million Euro in Romania, a 20 per cent growth compared to 2015.

Also, the company said that the local team reached 1.711 employees in the same interval and plans to expand this year too. Globally, the company achieved a turnover of 11.71 billion Euro in 2016, 9.7 per cent advance compared to previous year, with a net profit of 620 million Euro, a 41.9 per cent more in 2016 compared to 2015. Globally, the company numbers over 100.000 employees.

According to Catalina Dodu, country manager Atos Romania, the growth is a result of the innovations implemented in the cyber security services, automation and data analysis. Locally, Atos grew due to the opening of the new data security center at Timisoara, delivering services for an increased number of customers from Romania and abroad. The manager said that the company plans to develop the domestic teams in 2017.

The highest part of the global revenues, 6.59 billion Euro, was generated by management services of infrastructure and data, in the context in which more and more clients switched in the last year to a hybrid cloud infrastructure. Business solutions occupied the second place, with revenues of 3.19 billion Euro, the highest part of the growth being sustained by the markets from Germany and France. Big Data and security segment registered revenues of 666 million Euro. The demand for HPC (High Performance Computing) remained solid, taking into account the growing data processing needs of clients, as well as the encrypting solutions need, access management and inbreaking testing.

In 2016, the global revenues announced by the company grew for all business segments, with the largest rate coming from production, retail and transport, equaling 4.05 billion Euro. The It services for the public health sector registered 3.32 billion Euro, while financial services reached 1.97 billion Euro and telecommunications, media and utilities reached 2.35 billion Euro.
