Christmas, Easter and March are periods that usually mark an increase of temporary work contracts for blue collars, these being solicited especially in cities such as Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, Brasov, Arad, Sibiu or Constanta. "If in the white collars section, the demand is constant, the demand for blue collars employees varies especially in holidays, the contracts being signed for 1- 6 months," according to Raluca Penes, HR Coordinator Smartree.
The remuneration for blue collars ranges from 1.200 – 1.800 lei, plus meal tickets but they can also reach 4.500 lei per months for qualified workers. The advantage of determined-work contracts is that they offer to students, for instance, the possibility of gaining supplementary revenue, according to the HR specialist. Also, the local market started to align to international trends where the determined-work contracts are almost a rule and largely –used.
